The objective of this project was to understand the concept of olfactory-visual synesthesia, when the synesthete smells an odor, they perceive it as inherently colored. The odor-color synesthesia is very unique, with only 6% of people with synesthesia having visual experiences when they smell odors. We wanted to capture the essence of the "misty" mountain wood smell which evokes a visual memory from a mountain trek that evokes a sense of nostalgia from your trip to the mountains.
